"Is it making you laugh" "Is it letting you cry"

For this one, I thought about what could make someone have "happy tears". One of the first things that came to mind was a parent or a grandparent watching their child or grandchild graduate from high school.

I've never used oil pastels before to create a piece of artwork; this was my first time. I felt like trying something new.
I attempted to make an older man... a grandfather, I guess.
One of the hardest parts of this was trying to make it look like his eyes were starting to fill up with tears. I wanted them to be happy tears... so I had to put that idea across through the man's facial expression, as well.



I was a little bit rusty...



...but I think it's coming together better towards the end.
